We all know Royal Enfield is an Indian bike. However, its first journey started from England. Albert Eddie and Robert Walker Smith founded Eddie Manufacturing Limited in 1892, which made small parts for guns. Then in 1896 another company called The New Enfield Bicycle Company was formed under ADE. This company mainly manufactures bicycles and some parts of them. In 1899 the company created a four-wheeled bicycle with a new business concept. Exactly two years later, in 1901, the company introduced the first motorcycle by adding a new engine to the bike.
They used the Minarba Company engine with their first motorcycle. The company then focused on car manufacturing for a while.

And they made their companies the first car 1903 bat they lost a lot in it. After a long loss of four years, they sold the car to Alde and Anioncell in 1907, and the Enfield company turned its attention back to motorcycle manufacturing. And their first success in making motorcycles came in 1914. Due to the First World War, the company received large orders for the supply of motorcycles from its British War Department.

They also receive large orders for motorcycles from the Imperial Russian government. For all these reasons, the Enfield motorcycle has become very famous. During World War II, the company signed a British-authorized motorcycle. These bikes were then used extensively in World War II.

Enfield came to India in 1949. These bikes became popular after the Indian government started using them for the police and army. And at that time the government of India took 800 bikes of 600 cc model from this company.
In 1955, Enfield partnered with Madras Motor Company. This is how Enfield bikes became famous in India. Initially most of these bikes were brought from England. Then in 1962 this bike started to be made entirely in India. At that time England closed the company due to huge losses. However, production of this bike is still going on in India. The company started losing money in India as well as in England. As a result of long-term losses, the company was sold to Indian Aisha in 1990. The sales of this bike have been increasing in the market since 2000. The popularity of Siddhartha, the son of Bikramlal, the owner of E Eicher Group, has been increasing.
